I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s premiere of the Hindi series Waack Girls, about a dance group based in Kolkata. Tomorrow, the celebrity talk show The Rana Daggubati Show debuts. Plus, Amazon released a trailer for the Original Hindi film Agni, coming December 6.

In other trailer news, ZEE5 released a trailer for Manoj Bajpayee’s new film Despatch, which premieres on the streamer December 13:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s debut of the Hotstar Specials Hindi series Thukra Ka Mera Pyaar. All seven episodes are streaming now. Earlier in the week, Hulu added the Malayalam film Kishkindha Kaandam (also available in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, & Telugu).

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with the Kannada film Bagheera, which was added to the service yesterday. Season 2 of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein comes out on Friday. You can watch a 5-minute recap of Season 1 below:

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s streaming debut of the spy thriller Ulajh, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah. Yesterday, the streamer added the Telugu action flick Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Earlier this week, Netflix released a trailer for Vikramaditya Motwane’s thriller CTRL starring Ananya Panday. It premieres October 4 and looks creepy:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s streaming debut of the romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu.

Today’s brand new Hindi OTT release is the romance Love, Sitara starring Sobhita Dhulipala, now showing on ZEE5.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with Season 2 of the Hindi series Taaza Khabar. Akshay Kumar’s July box office flop Sarfira comes to Hulu October 11.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s streaming debut of the Kartik Aaryan sports drama Chandu Champion.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of the Tamil theatrical release Indian 2. The Netflix Original film Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba premieres Friday. [Update: Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is live now, and I liked it.] The sequel builds on the events of 2021’s Haseen Dillruba, so make sure to catch up on that before you watch the new movie (and check out my review of Haseen Dillruba, too!).

The charming Hindi film Dhanak is set to expire from Netflix on September 1. I really love Dhanak, so catch it while you can.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s debut of the Hindi series Life Hill Gaye (also available in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu).

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of the Malayalam film Aadujeevitham:The Goat Life (also available in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu) and the debut of the new series Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper. Big expiration date news at Netflix! Both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will leave Netflix on August 7, just five days after the premiere of the documentary Modern Masters: S.S. Rajamouli. It won’t surprise me if Netflix renews their license to screen the Baahubali films, but it might not happen right away. Or the films might move to a new streaming service. Or maybe they won’t.

Given that the streaming availability of movies is never a sure thing, what are your options if you want to own it in physical form? From what I’ve been able to find on Amazon, individual DVDs of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion formatted for North American DVD players sell for $49.99 each. If you are the ultimate collector, there’s a 2-DVD set of both Baahubali films for $375. [All three Amazon links include an affiliate code that earns me a commission on purchases made after following a link.]

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the premiere of the Malayalam series Nagendran’s Honeymoons (also available in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu).

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of the Tamil film Maharaja and yesterday’s premiere of the Original comedy flick Wild Wild Punjab (which I thought was okay).

Today, ZEE5 premiered the Hindi horror comedy Kakuda, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Saqib Saleem, and Riteish Deshmukh.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s premiere of the Telugu series Agnisakshi: Fire of Love and the release of the remaining episodes of the Hindi series Showtime.

No new updates to my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime this week, but do check out the recently released Original Hindi film Sharmajee Ki Beti, which I enjoyed.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s premiere of the first two episodes of the new Hindi series Bad Cop, starring Gulshan Devaiah and Anurag Kashyap. The series is available dubbed in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu as well. Also new on Hulu is the Tamil film Aranmanai 4 (with dubbed versions in Kannada and Malayalam).

One update to last week’s Streaming Video News is that Hulu has temporarily removed Do Aur Do Pyaar in order to fix an error with the audio track. There’s no word yet on when it will return.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the addition of the Telugu theatrical release Gam Gam Ganesha. Amazon debuted a trailer for the new Original Hindi film Sharmajee Ki Beti, which premieres June 28 (likely the afternoon of June 27 in the States):

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s debut of Season 3 of Kota Factory. The release of the Original Hindi film Maharaj is still on hold while the Gujarat High Court decides whether it offends religious sensibilities or not. [Update: Maharaj has been cleared for release. I thought it was pretty good.] Netflix released a teaser for the comedy movie Wild Wild Punjab, which debuts July 10.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s surprise streaming premiere of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with yesterday’s addition of the Tamil film Saba Nayagan, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu. The streamer released a trailer for Emraan Hashmi’s new series Showtime, which debuts March 8:

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime earlier this week with the premiere of the docu-series Love Storiyaan, produced by Karan Johar. Amazon released a trailer for director Richie Mehta’s new series Poacher, which debuts February 23:

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s streaming debut of Ayushmann Khurrana’s comedy Dream Girl 2. [You can watch the first Dream Girl on Zee5.] Yesterday, the Original Hindi survival series Kaala Paani (“Dark Water“) premiered on Netflix.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s addition of the Telugu movie Maama Mascheendra. Earlier this week, the third season of the Hindi series Permanent Roommates premiered on Prime, although previous seasons are not available for streaming in the United States. And I noticed that the 2022 Gujarati movie Last Film Show — India’s official submission to the most recent Oscars — was added to Prime recently, with no fanfare.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the launch of the Telugu horror series Mansion 24, (also available in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Tamil).

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s world premiere of the Varun Dhawan-Janhvi Kapoor romantic drama Bawaal.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu because Kajol’s new series The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha is now available for streaming in the United States — a full week after it debuted in India. Besides the original Hindi version, it’s also available in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with the addition of the Tamil horror flick Asvins, which is also streaming in Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu. There are also a number of Indian titles set to expire from Netflix in August:

Netflix has produced a lot of Original anthology films and series over the years, so I took a look at directors who have contributed to these anthologies to see which of them have multiple other projects currently available for streaming on Netflix. I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of the Hindi theatrical release Afwaah and the debut of the Original anthology film Lust Stories 2 — a sequel to 2018’s Lust Stories featuring short movies from four new directors. I really enjoyed Lust Stories 2, particularly the films by R. Balki and Sujoy Ghosh (both of which are less than 30 minutes long).

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s release of three new episodes of the Hindi series The Night Manager (also available in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, & Telugu).
