I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with the streaming debuts of Mardaani 3 (Hindi) and the sci-fi flick Masthishka Maranam: A Frankenbiting of Simon’s Memories (Malayalam). The next few weeks at Netflix look great for comedy lovers. Here’s what’s coming up:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with two new series: the Tamil show Muthu Alias Kaattaan (also in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, & Telugu) and the Hindi series Chiraiya (also in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu — and Odia!).

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime earlier this week with the debut of Riz Ahmed’s new English-language series Bait. Amazon also announced an April 3 premiere date for its new Hindi series Maa Ka Sum, starring Mona Singh and Mihir Ahuja.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with a few new additions today: the 2026 theatrical releases Funky (Telugu) and Pennum Porattum (Malayalam), plus the Netflix Original Tamil film Made in Korea. Note that Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees (which I thought was fine) expires from Netflix on March 15.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the new Tamil series Local Times, Season 3 of the Hindi series Aspirants, and the 2026 Telugu film Couple Friendly (also available dubbed in Tamil).

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the new Tamil series Resort (also available in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu).

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the streaming debut of the last major Hindi theatrical release of 2025: Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with the additions of the 2026 Malayalam film Chatha Pacha and the 2025 Tamil movie Gevi. Over at What’s on Netflix, I wrote about Netflix’s quiet cancellation of Class Season 2.

In the afternoon of February 19, watch for Anurag Kashyap’s crime thriller Kennedy to make its streaming debut on ZEE5. I really enjoyed Kennedy.

Also on Thursday afternoon, watch for the premiere of the Hotstar Specials Tamil series Lucky the Superstar on Hulu.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with three new additions today: the Hindi sequels Dhadak 2 and Son of Sardaar 2 and the Malayalam film Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira. The streamer also released a trailer for the new Tamil series The Game, debuting October 2:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s streaming debut of the Tamil film Ghaati. The celebrity chat show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle premiered earlier this week.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with a trailer for the newly announced series Search: The Naina Murder Case, coming October 10:

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the streaming debut of the Hindi film I Want To Talk, starring Abhishek Bachchan. This drama got a small run out in US theaters last year, so this is likely the first opportunity many people will have to watch it. According to Suchin Mehrotra, it’s worth prioritizing. Yesterday, Prime premiered Season 2 of Paatal Lok.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with the celebrity docu-series The Roshans. Each of the four episodes focuses on a different member of the famous Bollywood family. A couple of days ago, Netflix added the 2024 Malayalam comedy Rifle Club.

Starting next week, we head into an exciting period where a few indie movies — including some that played at film festivals — are poised to finally get a global release. On January 24 (more likely the afternoon of the 23rd in the US), ZEE5 debuts Madhavan’s Hisaab Barabar and Hulu launches the youthful romance Sweet Dreams. Then on January 28 (again, probably the 27th in the US), Hulu debuts The Storyteller, which was nominated for multiple festival awards in 2022 and 2023. There’s always a chance that these films are India exclusives and won’t release in the US, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of the Malayalam film Aadujeevitham:The Goat Life (also available in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu) and the debut of the new series Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper. Big expiration date news at Netflix! Both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will leave Netflix on August 7, just five days after the premiere of the documentary Modern Masters: S.S. Rajamouli. It won’t surprise me if Netflix renews their license to screen the Baahubali films, but it might not happen right away. Or the films might move to a new streaming service. Or maybe they won’t.

Given that the streaming availability of movies is never a sure thing, what are your options if you want to own it in physical form? From what I’ve been able to find on Amazon, individual DVDs of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion formatted for North American DVD players sell for $49.99 each. If you are the ultimate collector, there’s a 2-DVD set of both Baahubali films for $375. I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with a couple of newly added 2024 theatrical releases: the Malayalam film Anweshippin Kandethum and Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas was filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil, and there are separate catalog entries for the Hindi version and the Tamil version.

Director Nisha Pahuja’s feature documentary To Kill a Tiger — a nominee for the 96th Academy Awards for Best Documentary — debuts on Netflix on March 10, the day of the Oscars.

Three Indian series are set to expire from Netflix on March 14: Dharmakshetra, Raja Rasoi Aur Anya Kahaniyan, and Stories by Rabindranath Tagore. Those are the last three Indian series available in the United States that Netflix licensed from other companies. When they’re gone, every remaining Indian series will be a Netflix Original production. Netflix has built quite a library since its first Indian Original Series Sacred Games premiered on July 6, 2018!

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s debuts of the Tamil series Heart Beat and Emraan Hashmi’s new Hindi series Showtime (also available in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu).

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the Hindi-dubbed version of Captain Miller, which joins the original Tamil version already streaming on Prime.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s premiere of the Netflix Original Malayalam documentary Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case. Yesterday was busy, with the additions of Aadi Keshava (Telugu), Kuiko (Tamil), and Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video (Hindi).

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the premiere of the Amazon Original Hindi film Dry Day. The Tamil flick 80s Buildup was added as well.

I’m taking much of the rest of 2023 off, but there are a lot of Hindi films hitting streaming in the days to come. Here’s what to look forward to (note that titles on Amazon Prime and Zee5 may be available in the United States the day before):

December 26 — Kho Gaye Hum Kahan on Netflix
December 28 — Shastry Virudh Shastry and Three of Us on Netflix; 12th Fail on Hulu
December 29 — Dono, Once Upon Two Times, & Safed on Zee5; Wedding.con, Season 1 on Prime

I updated my list of Bollywood movies streaming on Netflix with a bunch of new additions yesterday. The big one is the premiere of the Original film The Archies, but Netflix also added  the Hindi theatrical release Dhak Dhak, the Malayalam movie Adrishya Jalakangal, and the Tamil flick Jigarthanda Double X (also available in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu). The week’s other unexpected new addition is the Norwegian holiday film Christmas as Usual, which stars comedian Kanan Gill, of all people.

A lot of Indian movies will expire from Netflix in the next month, including the great thriller Andhadhun. Here’s what’s leaving and when:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the global debut of the Original comedy Mast Mein Rehna Ka, starring Neena Gupta and Jackie Shroff.

Zee5 premiered its own new Original Hindi film yesterday: Pankaj Tripathi’s Kadak Singh.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the debut of the Telugu series Vadhuvu (also available in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Tamil).

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s additions of the Telugu version of Adipurush (Hindi is not one of the additional dialogue options in the audio menu — the Hindi version of Adipurush is streaming on Netflix) and the Tamil film Maaveeran. A Hindi dub of Maaveeran is also available as well as a Telugu version under the title Mahaveerudu. Earlier this week, Amazon released Season 2 of the Hindi series Made in Heaven and launched the trailer for the series AP Dhillon: First of a Kind, which comes out August 18:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s premiere of the action series Commando, which is based on the excellent Vidyut Jammwal movie of the same name but does not star Jammwal. It’s available in Hindi along with dubbed versions in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. Earlier this week, Hulu added the Malayalam film Neymar to its catalog, along with versions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of the Hindi version of Adipurush and the Malayalam movie Padmini. As a reminder, here are some important Netflix expiration dates coming soon:
