In other Amazon Prime news, most of the Excel Entertainment back catalog is set to expire by the end of this month. Unlike the recent departures of movies from Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions, I’m not sure that this exodus is permanent. Excel has new seasons of Inside Edge and Mirzapur coming to Amazon in the next few months, and I haven’t found any news stories about them striking a deal with another streamer. Still, if you have any of their titles in your Watchlist, you might want to watch them in the next week. Excel’s fantastic debut production, Dil Chahta Hai, expires on November 27, followed by these other titles on November 28:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with the additions of the 2019 Telugu releases Dorasaani and Mallesham and the documentary Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator.

October got off to a slow start on these two streaming video services, and there’s little on the horizon for the rest of the month. According to Bollywood Buff, Batla House comes to Prime in India on October 11, although that date may not apply to the United States and Canada. The only new Hindi release on the docket for Netflix is their straight-to-streaming film Upstarts, starring Bhavesh Joshi Superhero‘s Priyanshu Painyuli. Upstarts debuts on Netflix October 18.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with the addition of the 2018 Hindi indie Life of an Outcast. One of last night’s most inspiring Oscar wins went to the Netflix Original documentary short film Period. I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with seven new additions to the catalog, including two 2018 releases: the Malayalam film Eeda and the Tamil sequel Goli Soda 2. Streaming Video News: March 8, 2018

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with one new addition to the catalog. In honor of International Women’s Day, Netflix has made the documentary Ladies First available for streaming. The short film follows Indian archer Deepika Kumari as she prepares for the 2016 Rio Olympics and explores her journey from rural poverty to international athletic success. The 40-minute movie is Netflix’s first Indian original documentary.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with a recent addition. The Chicago-set 2017 comedy-drama Signature Move co-stars Shabana Azmi as the mother of a Pakistani-American Muslim lesbian daughter, played by Fawzia Mirza. Streaming Video News: February 6, 2017

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with three new additions to the catalog. The international drama The Lovers — which stars Josh Hartnett opposite Bipasha Basu, Abhay Deol, and several other Bollywood actors — is now available for streaming. Also new are a pair of documentaries from last year: The Karma Killings and Naga the Eternal Yogi. Though Netflix’s plot description for Naga the Eternal Yogi promises an examination of “the naked yoga gurus of India,” a recurring complaint in the Netflix member reviews is that there’s not enough nudity.
