I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the streaming debut of Akshay Kumar’s war drama Sky Force. Earlier this week, Prime added the 2024 Telugu film Manamey.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s premiere of the new Original Hindi series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, the second entry in the crime franchise that began with 2022’s Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. Netflix also made the 2025 Tamil film Dragon available for streaming.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s premiere of the new Hindi series Kanneda (also available in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu).

If all those are too long for you, check out director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s short film The Promise on YouTube. It stars Jim Sarbh and Priyamani and has a runtime of under 11 minutes.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with two big new additions to the catalog: Ram Charan’s 2025 Telugu flick Game Changer and the world premiere of Boman Irani’s directorial debut The Mehta Boys.

Today’s other new global Hindi release is Sanya Malhotra’s Mrs. on ZEE5, a remake of the acclaimed Malayalam drama The Great Indian Kitchen.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix yesterday with the world premiere of the Oscar-nominated short drama film Anuja. It’s well-done and only 22 minutes, so give it a watch. On Friday, the new Original sports documentary series The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan debuts.

Over at What’s On Netflix, I updated my giant 2025 Indian content preview with all of the new Original series and films announced at Monday’s Next on Netflix India event.

Earlier this week, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the addition of the Hindi action movie Kill (which I liked a lot). There’s something hinky going on with Hulu’s Indian collection right now, and I wrote about it a couple days ago. I’m not going to make sweeping changes to my Hulu page just yet, but I might have to in the near future.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s premiere of Season 2 of the musical series Bandish Bandits. The Telugu film Mechanic Rocky was also added for streaming, with a separate entry for a version featuring dubbed dialogue in Kannada, Malayalam, or Tamil (select your preference in the audio menu).

Manoj Bajpayee’s new movie Despatch premiered today on ZEE5.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s debut of the Telugu series Harikatha: Sambhavami Yuge Yuge (also available in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Tamil).

Finally, I will update my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix on Friday when Season 3 of Mismatched goes live. If you need a recap of Season 2, Netflix summed it up in 3 minutes:

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s world premiere of director Rahul Dholakia’s firefighter drama Agni, starring Pratik Gandhi and Saiyami Kher. Yesterday, the Telugu movie Matka was added to the streaming catalog.

Earlier this week, Amazon announced that the Hindi film Girls Will Be Girls will release on Prime on December 18 following after a successful festival run. It’s unclear if this applies to Prime globally or if it’s only in India, as Girls Will Be Girls is currently available for rent and purchase on Amazon in the United States.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s streaming debut of Vasan Bala’s jailbreak flick Jigra, starring Alia Bhatt. The Tamil film Amaran was added yesterday, and the Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri comedy Vicky Vidya ka Woh Wala Video comes to Netflix tomorrow afternoon.

ZEE5 debuted the Hindi series Maeri today.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s premiere of Ananya Panday’s comedy series Call Me Bae. The Telugu film Double iSmart is also streaming on Prime.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of the Malayalam film Adios Amigo. Netflix released a trailer for the thriller Sector 36, coming September 13:

One of the biggest Hindi box office bombs of last year was Arjun Kapoor & Bhumi Pednekar’s thriller The Lady Killer, which wasn’t even complete when it released. Since no OTT platforms were interested in buying the streaming rights, T-Series made it available for free on YouTube. Watch The Lady Killer on YouTube here (with English subtitles).

Director Aditya Kripalani’s film Not Today: A Suicide Prevention Story is also streaming free on YouTube with English subtitles.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s premiere of the first two episodes of the new Hindi series Bad Cop, starring Gulshan Devaiah and Anurag Kashyap. The series is available dubbed in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu as well. Also new on Hulu is the Tamil film Aranmanai 4 (with dubbed versions in Kannada and Malayalam).

One update to last week’s Streaming Video News is that Hulu has temporarily removed Do Aur Do Pyaar in order to fix an error with the audio track. There’s no word yet on when it will return.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the addition of the Telugu theatrical release Gam Gam Ganesha. Amazon debuted a trailer for the new Original Hindi film Sharmajee Ki Beti, which premieres June 28 (likely the afternoon of June 27 in the States):

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s debut of Season 3 of Kota Factory. The release of the Original Hindi film Maharaj is still on hold while the Gujarat High Court decides whether it offends religious sensibilities or not. [Update: Maharaj has been cleared for release. I thought it was pretty good.] Netflix released a teaser for the comedy movie Wild Wild Punjab, which debuts July 10.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s additions of the Telugu film Tillu Square and the Hindi movie Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao. These theatrical releases come on the heels of last week’s new additions: the Bollywood flicks All India Rank and Article 370. Netflix is investing heavily in Hindi theatrical releases this year, with movies generally hitting streaming 8 weeks after they debut in theaters. Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan could come to Netflix as early as next week, followed by Crew in late May and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in early June (though none have official streaming debut dates yet).

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s addition of the Vidyut Jammwal-Arjun Rampal extreme sports action flick Crakk: Jeetegaa Toh Jiyegaa. The Telugu film Bhimaa is also now streaming (dubbed in Malayalam and Tamil as well).

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s additions of the Hindi version of Operation Valentine and the Telugu film The Family Star. Yesterday saw the debut of the Hindi series Dil Dosti Dilemma. As far as Hindi theatrical releases go, expect to see Yodha come to Prime in May and Maidaan in June.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s addition of Shilpa Shetty’s comedy Sukhee. The new Hindi series The Railway Men premieres on Saturday, November 18.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s additions of Vicky Kaushal’s film The Great Indian Family, Boyz 4 (Marathi), Good Night (Tamil), and Tiger Nageswara Rao (Telugu). Yesterday, Prime added the Thai-English romantic comedy about drama at an Indian wedding, Congrats My Ex.

Checking the Amazon Prime catalog the other day, I found updated links for a bunch of Bollywood movies that expired a while ago. Here’s what’s available on Prime once more:

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the straight-to-streaming debut of the thriller Apurva, starring Tara Sutaria. The Malayalam movie Kannur Squad is also now streaming (available in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu as well).

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s streaming debut of Ayushmann Khurrana’s comedy Dream Girl 2. [You can watch the first Dream Girl on Zee5.] Yesterday, the Original Hindi survival series Kaala Paani (“Dark Water“) premiered on Netflix.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s addition of the Telugu movie Maama Mascheendra. Earlier this week, the third season of the Hindi series Permanent Roommates premiered on Prime, although previous seasons are not available for streaming in the United States. And I noticed that the 2022 Gujarati movie Last Film Show — India’s official submission to the most recent Oscars — was added to Prime recently, with no fanfare.

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the launch of the Telugu horror series Mansion 24, (also available in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Tamil).

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with today’s streaming debut of the blockbuster Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Looking forward to finally catching up on it this weekend. Other new additions today include the Marathi film Subhedar and the Telugu movie Bedurulanka 2012. Amazon also announced a September 27 premiere date for the fourth and final season of Hostel Daze.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s world premiere of Kahaani director Sujoy Ghosh’s latest mystery Jaane Jaan (also known as “Suspect X“), starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat. I’m still working on my review, but I can say that Jaane Jaan is terrific. Netflix also announced an October 18 launch date for its new series Kaala Paani (“Dark Water“):

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the addition of three Bengali titles from a few years ago: Bhootchakra Pvt. Ltd., Borunbabur Bondhu, and Rawkto Rawhoshyo.
