I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with one new addition to the catalog. The 2012 thriller Blood Money — starring Kunal Khemu — is now available for streaming.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with an intriguing new addition. Naseeruddin Shah plays a pot farmer in 2016’s The Blueberry Hunt, now available for streaming free with a subscription to Amazon Prime. The service recently added the 2010 stand-up special Indian Comedy Tour as well.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with one excellent new addition to the catalog. 2015’s Angry Indian Goddesses is now available for streaming. The cast is great, and the story takes some unexpected turns. I loved it. Thanks to Aroon Deep for sharing the news with me via Twitter!

I’ve updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with one new addition to the catalog. The award-winning 2015 Kannada film Thithi is now available for streaming. For everything else (Bollywood or not) new on Netflix, check Instant Watcher.

I made one other change to my Netflix page by adding each film’s language next to its release year for titles in the section “Other Indian and Pakistani Movies on Netflix.” For some reason, Netflix no longer lists a film’s language on its individual page, nor does it list whether subtitles are available or in what languages. Since nothing else changed regarding the design or structure of the individual movie pages, this seems unnecessarily reductive. I hope this is just a temporary glitch.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with some new additions to the catalog. The 2016 Tamil films Nila and Revelations are now available for streaming, as is the PBS documentary series India: Nature’s Wonderland. The 2013 Hindi film Ugly is also one again available for streaming. For everything else new on Netflix — including the first two movies in Deepika’s XXX franchise — check Instant Watcher.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with one new addition to the catalog. Last year’s action sequel Force 2 — starring John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha — is now available for streaming. It’s a fun followup to a really terrific thriller. It’s also the sixth 2016 release added to Netflix this month. Let’s hope Netflix’s renewed fondness for recent mainstream Bollywood fare continues.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with an intriguing new addition to the catalog. 2016’s tale of star-crossed lovers — Mirzya — is now available for streaming. Hardly anyone watched it when it released in theaters little more than four months ago, which is kind of a shame because it’s visually stunning and has one of the best soundtracks of last year. It’s certainly worth checking out now that it’s on Netflix.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with four newly added titles. In addition to the 2014 Hindi film Q, three movies from 2016 joined the streaming catalog today. The thriller Te3n — which I liked for its depiction of the ravages of aging — is the best of the lot. Also new is Madaari, a thriller I found problematic. Last but not least is Rocky Handsome, a disappointing but watchable remake of the superb Korean movie The Man From Nowhere, which sadly departed Netflix not long ago. For a real treat, listen to Shah Shahid and me compare Rocky Handsome to The Man From Nowhere in this episode of The Split Screen Podcast. You’ll get to hear my impersonation of RH‘s annoying kid actor, whose perkiness still haunts me. Let it haunt you, too:

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with three new additions to the catalog. The international drama The Lovers — which stars Josh Hartnett opposite Bipasha Basu, Abhay Deol, and several other Bollywood actors — is now available for streaming. Also new are a pair of documentaries from last year: The Karma Killings and Naga the Eternal Yogi. Though Netflix’s plot description for Naga the Eternal Yogi promises an examination of “the naked yoga gurus of India,” a recurring complaint in the Netflix member reviews is that there’s not enough nudity.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with five new additions to the catalog. The global deal between Netflix and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment has finally borne fruit: Dilwale and Happy New Year are now available for streaming in the United States. I liked Happy New Year and wasn’t crazy about Dilwale, but the more SRK films the merrier. Another exciting new addition to Netflix is the terrific drama Haraamkhor, which released in Indian theaters less than three weeks ago. The 2016 Hindi movie Maroon and the 2015 Punjabi film Chauthi Koot are also now available for streaming.

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with an exciting new addition to the catalog. The 2016 courtroom thriller Pink is now available for streaming. I liked it a lot. Other new additions this week include director Mira Nair’s 1996 film Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love and the 2015 Marathi movie Twisted Trunk, Big Fat Body, starring Bollywood’s go-to child actor, Naman Jain. For everything else new on Netflix, check Instant Watcher.

I also made a couple of additions to my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime. While I don’t think these titles are new, I just found two more movies available for free with Prime (thanks for the frustrating catalog organization and limited search capabilities, Amazon!): the 2007 English film Partition — starring Smallville‘s Kristen Kreuk, of all people — and the documentary Despite the Gods, a terrific chronicling of the drama behind the making of Hisss.
