Streaming Video News: July 25, 2025

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s premiere of the new YRF thriller series Mandala Murders. A handful of Indian films are set to expire from Netflix on August 21, and some of them are worth watching while you can. Here’s what’s leaving August 21:

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with the premiere of the new Hindi film Sarzameen (also available in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu).

Finally, I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Amazon Prime with the premiere of the new Hindi series Rangeen and the streaming debut of the Tamil movie Maargan.

Streaming Video News: July 25, 2024

I updated my list of Bollywood movies on Hulu with today’s world premiere of the Hindi horror film Bloody Ishq, directed by Vikram Bhatt.

Two more brand new Hindi films debuted directly on ZEE5 today: Manoj Bajpayee’s thriller Bhaiyya Ji and the drama Chalti Rahe Zindagi.

I also updated my list of Bollywood movies on Netflix with today’s streaming debut of two Hindi theatrical releases: the cricket drama Mr. & Mrs. Mahi and the thriller Savi. Netflix currently lists Savi in the catalog under its working title “Tum Hi Ho,” which star Divya Khossla said was rejected by director Abhinay Deo. Searching for either title will take you to the same movie.

Opening July 25: Kick

Salman Khan’s latest action film, Kick, opens in the Chicago area on July 25, 2014. A cast that includes accomplished actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda and a screenplay by novelist Chetan Bhagat lend Kick an air of sophistication.

Kick opens on Friday in six local theaters: AMC River East 21 in Chicago, Regal Gardens Stadium 1-6 in Skokie, AMC Showplace Niles 12 in Niles, AMC South Barrington 30 in South Barrington, Regal Cantera Stadium 17 in Warrenville, and AMC Loews Woodridge 18 in Woodridge. It has a listed runtime of 2 hrs. 30 min.

The cute romcom Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania gets a third week at the South Barrington 30, Cantera 17, and MovieMax Cinemas in Niles.

Other Indian movies showing in the Chicago area this weekend include Drushyam (Telugu w/no subtitles) at the Cinemark at Seven Bridges in Woodridge and MovieMax, which is also carrying Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah (Telugu), Alludu Sreenu (Telugu), Sathuranga Vettai (Tamil), Velaiyilla Pattathari (Tamil), and Bangalore Days (Malayalam).
