Netflix just added an English-dubbed version of Baahubali: The Beginning to its streaming catalog. My first instinct was to joke about it, but I think my husband had the right reaction:
At first, I was like “What is thiiiiiiiiis?” But then I thought about how when I was a kid (and not into reading subs), I would have loved it!

Our nieces and nephews would love Baahubali but aren’t up to reading subtitles, and now I can share it with them! Hopefully we’ll get an English-dubbed version of The Conclusion soon. I haven’t been able to find a cast list for the dubbing artists yet, but I’ll post it here if I do.
I wonder if this is the “international” cut that they had planned back in 2015 with Hollywood editor Vincent Tabaillon? The English version of the movie has a running time approx 21 mins shorter than the standard edition, so I’m assuming they’ve cut out some of the song and dance sequences.

Fascinating idea, Gulfam! I’d forgotten all about the international cut. I bet you’re right. Great memory!
