A hunky photographer (John Abraham) and a male nurse (Abhishek Bachchan) pretend to be a gay couple in order to share a Miami apartment with a beautiful girl (Priyanka Chopra) they’re both in love with. This comedy of errors isn’t trying to make a political statement, nor does it rely solely on cheap gay jokes to generate laughs. Dostana is a genuinely funny and romantic story about friendship, enhanced by captivating performances from some of Bollywood’s top young actors.

The blurb you have is a good short review of the movie. I watched it on Netflix. John plays Kunal and Abhishek plays Sam. They want a place to live and both fall in love with Neha. She expects to get a promotion but instead gets a new boss. He gives her the job to make a new magazine in two weeks, which she accomplishes with a lot of help from the guys. Neha (Priyanka) then falls for her boss, played by Bobby Deol. Why she falls for him is rather fuzzy and usually a bad idea in real life. He has a son that Kunal and Sam try to convince to tell his dad not to marry Neha. It all works out for the boss and Neha in the end.

It is a good movie about friendship. It also deals with how people can miss when others fall in love with them. I really didn’t get why Neha falls for the boss though. She says (subtitles) that if she married it would be Sam or just like him. Bobby Deol isn’t nearly as good looking as John or Abhishek. Other than taking her onstage, you don’t see qualities to go out with him before she does. I get that does save her from picking between Kunal and Sam. It just seemed like an easy way to end the movie.

The music is catchy. The visuals are nice.
